Supermarkets cut petrol price to below 100 pence per litre
Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury’s have cut the price of petrol below £1.00 a litre as the price of crude oil continues to fall. This is the lowest price level for petrol in the UK, excluding special promotions, since 2009.
However, experts have warned that falling oil prices are turning into “the nightmare before Christmas” for the oil industry.
